Noen fra Tromsø?

Jeg er fra Irland ønsker å møte folk fra Tromsø.

I am from Ireland looking to meet people from Tromso.

Kanskje noen melder seg hvis du sier noe om hvorfor du vil komme i kontakt med dem?

It might be an idea to say something about why you want to meet these people from Tromsø.

Hello! If you want to edit your post after posting, you click the "Endre" link at the top right of your post. "Endre" means "modify". 🙂

Welcome to FP and good luck with your move to Norway! I come from Tromsø originally, and it is a nice place, although the winters are a bit long and dark. There are several people on FP who live in Tromsø who can probably give you hints and tips on activities for you and the children.

There are not many organized activities for such small children in Tromsø, but for your daughter there may be some available places left at the Tromsø Kulturskoles program for music and babies. I know there are waitinglists for a lot of the other activities, and many organisations doesn't accept children younger than 4 years old. If you are not going to work, I recommend that you download and read the english document at this page:

It's an open kindergarden where parents and children can meet during daytime. You will learn that in norway the stay-at-home-mum is pretty rare, so you will need to find other parents to socialize with during daytime, otherwise you will feel isolated and lonely pretty soon I think.
The Northern Reasearch Institute is a great place t work I've heard 🙂
