Syns du virkelig han italienske klovnen var noe sjarmerende? I forhold til temaet (unge+konsentrasjonsleir) som burde vekke all verdens sympati, så synes jeg denne filmen var eksepsjonelt uengasjerende. Denne filmen er for holocostfilmer hva Mission Impossible 3 er for agentfilmer ...

Her er jeg 100 % uenig med deg. Du har misforstått hvis du tror at dette først og fremst er en Holocoust-film.

Dette er jo en klassisk komedie/tragedie. Klovnen bruker det våpenet han har (humor) for å hjelpe sønnen gjennom det verst tenkelige.

Må bare sakse fra en anmeldelse:
The movie actually softens the Holocaust slightly, to make the humor possible at all. In the real death camps there would be no role for Guido. But ``Life Is Beautiful'' is not about Nazis and Fascists, but about the human spirit. It is about rescuing whatever is good and hopeful from the wreckage of dreams. About hope for the future. About the necessary human conviction, or delusion, that things will be better for our children than they are right now
